WHERE DOES JOCELYN SPEAK?

Colleges: Jocelyn predominantly speaks in college classrooms and most professors have chosen to assign her audio file as a required listening assignment, so the class period(s) can be dedicated to discussion (see sample Q & A page). Discussion typically focuses on the following topics: The anatomy of an abuser, the role of cults, sects and high control groups; family dynamics of abuse, current legal issues; dealing with law enforcement, etc. This material is applicable to the following types of courses: Psychology, womens' culture, womens' studies, intercultural studies, religion and other social science courses.

High Schools: By tying in her own experiences, Jocelyn speaks about the need for abuse victims to expose abuse. She also discusses the anatomy of an abuser so students can detect when they are caught in cycles of abuse and recover to avoid living a future life of promiscuity.

Prisons: The focus of these sessions is to help abusers understand what they do to victims and how to break the cycle of abuse.

Non-profit organizations/Fund-raisers: Jocelyn heads up a 15-week mentoring program with abuse victims where she walks them through practical steps of getting their lives back together after leaving an abusive relationship.

Jocelyn accepts two speaking engagements per-week and due to current scheduling her next available opening is in September of 2009.
